The 22nd Special Tactics Squadron operates as a high-tech command center in battle, handling everything from directing airstrikes (JTAC) to overseeing battlefield surveillance (AWACS), and managing air traffic in combat zones (CCT). We're the brains and the muscle behind military operations, making sure air and ground troops work together smoothly to achieve their missions.

In the 22nd STS "Hammer," members can choose from three specialized roles, each essential to mission success. The AWACS role involves managing and operating advanced airborne radar systems, providing strategic airborne surveillance, early warning, and command control functions to guide and protect allied forces. The CCT, or Combat Control Team, focuses on deploying into hostile environments to establish air control, guiding both aerial and ground assets safely and effectively during combat operations. Lastly, the JTAC, or Joint Terminal Attack Controller, offers direct support to ground units, coordinating precise air strikes and offering real-time tactical advice to maximize effectiveness in the field. Each role is crucial, ensuring comprehensive coverage and operational superiority in various combat scenarios.
